Materials used in Wardrobe

Along with providing space to keep your clothing and accessories, wardrobes enhance the interior design of your entire house. The shape of a wardrobe can be customized to the user's needs and the available space, but it also depends on the material. There are a variety of materials on the market to satisfy client needs depending on their budget and the load they intend to store in their wardrobe.

In this blog we will try to answer some common question that comes in mind of the consumer while buying a wardrobe for their home

There are numerous possibilities for wardrobe materials accessible today, such as:-

1. Plywood

Most kitchen cabinets and wardrobes are made of plywood. It is constructed of thin plies that are adhered together, and the exterior is veneered or laminated for aesthetic purposes. Another name for plywood is framing material for laminate or veneer.

2. MDF (Medium-Density Fibreboard)

Medium-Density Fibreboard (MDF) is created by dissolving real wood into wood fibers. After that, it is adhered using a specific resin under high pressure and temperature. It is more affordable than plywood and a better choice than particle board because it is more robust and long-lasting.  The ideal material to use when creating wardrobe shutters is this. Due to its consistency, it has no broken edges.

3. HDHMR(High-Density High Moisture Resistance)

This material offers the strongest resistance to exposure to water of all the aforementioned materials and is also the most expensive. It has the extra benefit of being termite and borer resistant in addition to being extremely robust and able to survive extreme temperatures. HDHMR is the finest choice if your closets are subjected to moisture and rough use.

4. Particle Board

These are made of wood chips that have been pressed into large sheets using adhesive. Due to its low density and pliability, lengthy panels for wardrobe doors can be made with this wood. Because the costs are relatively less expensive than MDF and plywood, when used properly, the entire cost of the furniture can be significantly decreased. Excellent low-cost option for closets and other furniture that won't be kept outside or exposed to a lot of moisture.
